Kony 2012 Mindset

If my travels and expierence have taught me anything in life to date, it is first and foremost that i am a dumb ass ignorant human being. Secondly, it is paramount to keep an open mind, be objective in everything i do, see & in the opinions that i have. We must do these things to help prevent further ignorance and to become better guests of this planet. This can be quite difficult In this facebook world we live in. The filter is near impossible to manage. For as many good things facebook and social media provides, theres just as many bad. I have known the Kony name for years, most have who follow any sort of foreign press or humanatarian causes. We must applaud and support any awarness and campaigns to stop such injustices. The world is full of them and none so horrific as ones that involve the innocense & exploitation of children. I want it clear that i'd love to pull the trigger on Kony myself and these comments of mine are not against putting an end to him, or against the good fight, but to make it aware and caution the massive bandwagoning without proper research & education.

Kony 2012 is a well done & effective production. Behind every good cause there is usually a good documentary and this is no different. Other than having not just an end goal but having an end date objective as well. Do you know anything about Invisble Children Inc. & Kony 2012 other than the 30 minute doc you watched, shared, or the kit you bought?  What happens when Kony is arrested.? When its 2013? When your Kony bracelet brakes? Are you going to care all that much? Pay attention to what happens down the road ? Can a Konys Children foundation be far off and will we be on board that wagon too ? Why not, sure, its all good stuff, but from what ive seen in us (us being the modern civilized world)..we wont be. Were in it for the short feel good fix and go about our everyday lives. I dont have the answers - remember i said i was a dumb ass ignoramous. I Just want us all to get on some real education and research before we give any money or support to a group/organization/cause's.
